Luxembourg/Munich, 26 October 2023 - Super Global is issuing a USD 340 million green bond for Nasdaq-listed Clean Vision Corporation, a technology company for the global sustainable economy. The Luxembourg and Munich-based AIFM and securitisation specialist is thus expanding its leading role in the launch of ESG-compliant structures.
„We are currently seeing enormous demand for Green bonds especially from the institutional sector,“ says Daniel Knoblach, member of the Board of Directors of Super Global Services SA. „There is a surplus of demand here, and the issue of new vehicles is barely keeping pace.“ The Green Bond is issued in accordance with the standards of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) and its Green Bond Principles and audited by ISS Corporate Solutions, a best-in-class second-party opinion provider. The annual green bond reporting is also independently audited and reviewed. „This means we exceed the market standard and ensure sustainable acceptance among institutional investors,“ says Knoblach.
Free and non-binding
Clean Vision will use the proceeds from the Green Bond to expand the Plastic Conversion Network (PCN), a technology for recycling plastic. The patented system is used to combat plastic waste on land and in the oceans. It utilises the plastics collected there to produce green fuels and green hydrogen through pyrolysis. Both are sold to multinational petrochemical companies, which drives forward the circular economy for plastics.
Issued as an insolvency-protected and segregated compartment, the Green Bond and thus its investors benefit from the established Luxembourg securitisation law. The Green Bond also has an ISIN, is audited annually and is eligible for custody and clearing.
